Singapore is a beautiful city-state located in the Southeastern region of Asia just off of the island of Malaysia. This gorgeous destination is best described as a tropical paradise, and thus, it attracts many tourists who are looking to get away to somewhere warm and sunny. Let’s take a look at a few things you should do if you ever find yourself in Singapore.

Pulau Ubin

One of Singapore’s islands is Pulau Ubin. This unique island is home to less than 50 people, as a result of the closure of granite quarries that fueled the island’s economy. Today, it is a hidden gem where travelers can roam and experience a quieter way of life.

Gardens By The Bay

Anyone who is a fan of nature would appreciate the natural beauty of Gardens By The Bay. This attraction hosts must-see sights, such as the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome. To do the gardens justice, you should plan to spend at least half of a day there. Be sure to bring along your camera, as the gardens can make for gorgeous photos that you can share online or even hang up as prints in your home.

Merlion Park

Singapore is known as The Lion City, and it consists of one main island and several small islands. It may come as no surprise, then, that the Merlion (that’s mer-lion) is one of the most popular attractions in Singapore. Every traveler to Singapore should catch a glimpse of the statue, with its mermaid body and lion head, at Merlion Park.

Marina Bay Sands

One must-see place in Singapore is the Marina Bay Sands. You can find just about anything here, from a Michelin-starred restaurant to casinos, plenty of shopping, and even the ArtScience Museum.

Haw Par Villa

The Haw Par Villa is an outdoor attraction that contains over a thousand Chinese sculptures and exhibits that provide teachings on traditional Chinese values. This kind of site is hard to come by, and there is nothing quite like it anywhere else in the world.  So be sure to schedule some time to visit.

Singapore may be a pricey destination for many travelers, but it is also a worthwhile trip for people looking to visit the outdoors and gain some cultural insight. If you plan a trip to Singapore, be sure to visit each of these attractions to get the most out of your travels.
